With a combined experience of over 50 years, Edward Wald and Shirley Wald own and operate Northern Lights & Lifestyles, a specialty retail store on the shore of Lake Michigan in Frankfort, Michigan. We are passionate retailers, proud of the heirloom quality that we sell, proud that most of our items are made in the United States, and proud that our home furnishings inspire relaxation and give comfort while providing longevity.
The simple truth is that we find joy in bringing the best to our customers, sharing our knowledge and experience, and feeling that what we offer makes a difference to both our customers and the fine artists and craftsmen that we represent.
Northern Lights & Lifestyles offers a shopping experience where past and present meet, where exceptional craftsmanship and designs of a simpler era are evident in our heirloom-quality furniture, vintage-inspired furnishings, and period lighting. With emphasis on the Arts and Crafts Movement, we feature mission-style replicate furniture, art pottery, tiles, unique lighting, and other period-style accessories. ,Quoizel Lighting, Mica Lamp and Arroyo Craftsman pay homage to the past with reproductions of such masters as Gustav Stickley, Frank Lloyd Wright, Louis Comfort Tiffany, and Dirk Van Erp.
In addition to arts and crafts furnishings, we also present other appropriate imaginative and practical furniture combinations, such as vintage-style leather by McKinley and handcrafted classic wicker by Palecek. These nostalgic silhouettes are softly illuminated by genuine Mica lights, Tiffany-inspired lamps and authentic Schonbek crystal chandeliers.
Arts and crafts enthusiasts love our offerings, to be sure; however, we have found that those who love authenticity, quality and handmade craftsmanship are equally enthused by the other decorative styles we represent with artisans and craftsmen such as Campbell Studios, Lewellen Studio, and Lundberg Studios.
